About Nikki Singh-Barmi
Nikki Singh-Barmi is managing director at GRITIT and is responsible for growing the business, and ensuring it continues to meet its high levels of customer service.
GRITIT is the UK’s leading winter risk management specialist, providing specialist gritting and snow-clearance to the private, not for profit and public sectors in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The company has won numerous awards, and has been listed in the Virgin Sunday Times Fast Track Awards for the last two consecutive years.
Nikki has previously worked as managing director of an events company, with offices in London and Amman - delivering opportunities for contractors working in the Middle East. He has also run his own publishing and marketing company and established a contracting business specialising in tree surgery.
He was approached by Jason Petsch, co-founder and commercial director, to run GRITIT’s Midland’s office, and after a short period of time he took on the role of operations director (2008). He then went on to become managing director in December 2012.
Nikki is married with three children, and in his spare time he tends to train. He is currently lined up to run a marathon and an Ultra marathon during 2013.
